Dance to the Death

A blood bloom I painted after watching the movie ‘Anaconda Blood Orchid’ I used the dry brush technique to represent the bleeding red petals emerging from the pale lemon innocence of the gouache washed background set on paper. The subject gives you a sense of anticipation that something sinister is amidst and the black on the bloom’s stem is symbolic of the demise assured the unsuspecting victim. A light approach to a darkening situation.
